Mild Class 3 – Crowding
Age: 40 years old
Gender: Male
Patient Primary Concern
Bite doesn’t feel right
- Treatment Duration: 11.5 months
- Number of aligners on upper: 46
- Number of aligners on lower: 41
- Improve alignment of upper and lower incisors
- Lower 3-3 IPR of 3mm to align and slightly upright lower incisors
- Improve coupling of upper and lower canines and in incisors to achieve a better overbite
- Improve arch coordination to remove posterior primary contact causing a co/cr discrepancy (this shift between CO and CR was the reason the patient did not feel his bite was comfortable)
- Successfully achieved coordination of the upper and lower arch to remove the primary contact and shift from CO/CR
- Upper and lower alignment improved, and lower incisors were uprighted a few degrees
- A better overbite was achieved as well
- Mild Class III
- Minor to moderate crowding
- 1mm open bite of right canines and right and left lateral incisors
- CO/CR discrepancy due to primary posterior contact

- Treatment Duration: 10.5 months
- Number of aligners on upper: 41
- Number of aligners on lower: 33
- Close all spaces, correct right crossbite
- Increase buccal tip to upper right 3, lingual crown torque to lower right 3

- Correct midlines and leave adequate space for implant restoration of the lower right second premolar
- All main objectives were achieved
- Crossbite was corrected, upper and lower midlines are aligned, and all spaces were closed
- Mild Class III
- Moderate spacing in upper and lower arches
- Midlines off 1.5mm
- Crossbite upper right lateral incisor and canine
- Missing lower right 5
